Tetra's Ammonia test kit measures levels between 0.0mgl and 5.0mgl in fresh and saltwater aquariums. Ammonia is the first thing you should test for and is the first stage of the nitrogen cycle, as it is the most toxic and lethal nitrogen compound to fish. This is more so in higher PH as at a higher PH ammonia is present in its most lethal form Ammonium.
