Aqua One PL18 Sunlight / Marine Blue Compatibility

The Aqua One PL18 Sunlight / Marine Blue will fit any Aqua one aquarium designed to accept a PL18w tube. The PL18 Sunlight / Marine Blue tube has four in-line connection pins at the bottom and will also work in any other aquarium designed to accommodate this format including Aqua One's AquaStyle 620 and AquaStyle 620T aquarium series. Please Note: This lighting tube is not suitable for the AquaNano aquarium series which has it's own PL-18 lighting tubes.

Keep a spare Lighting Tube

Do keep a spare lighting tube around. Your fish use the amount and duration of light they receive to regulate their internal clock i.e. is it time to be active, feed or time to sleep etc. Periods of time without light aren't harmful but can leave them a little disorientated.

Replacing your PL 18W Sunlight / Marine Blue Lighting Tube

Be patient here. All the PL lamps can be a rather firm fit in their socket and the long glass section is fragile (of course). Its best to grasp the base of the tube and slowly 'waggle' it out a little at a time. Take your time - it will come out and the replacement tube will just slot back into the socket. Again do press the new tube firmly into place but don't place any pressure on the glass section for safety's sake.

These are the little springy steel clips used to secure the clear acrylic lighting cover in place on the Aqua One 620 and 620T. The clips are frequently subject to corrosion but thankfully easily replaced. Just pop the old ones off and replace with new ones.
