The Aqua Mode 600 from Aqua One
Despite being only 60cm long the Aqua mode 600 features all of Aqua One's best bits!

Energy Saving Colour Enhancing lighting
The silver canopy containing the lighting system is fully hinged and lifts easily; allowing full access to the trickle filter and the aquarium itself. The top of the canopy also features the twin, matching light switches.

Two energy saving Pl fluorescent tubes are fitted. Individually switched, these tubes use only 22w between them and are unique to Aqua One. The tubes are specially designed to enhance fish colour, discourage algae and encourage plant growth. The whole lighting system is also splash proof being hidden behind a crystal clear, removable acrylic shield.

Integrated Trickle Filtration
Trickle filtration is hugely efficient because massive amounts of atmospheric oxygen are available to the aerobic filtration bacteria. This results in many more bacteria than would be possible in a submerged filter, which in turn means that the waste from higher fish stocks than usual may be processed with ease.

Aqua One include a full range of filtration media with the Aqua Mode 600 filter including their excellent Bio Nood ceramic noodles (great for bacterial growth), open cell foam sheets (for bacterial growth and for trapping debris) and the innovative 1c combined carbon and polymer wool cartridge. The carbon and wool cartridge traps most solid waste and adsorbs most chemical waste as well. These hard working cartridges are thankfully disposable and last around six weeks of normal use. It is a thirty second job to change this filter when the time comes and there's no need to get wet!!

Seamless 180 Degree Viewing
There's no getting away from it… the Aqua Mode 600 is a great looking aquarium. It has a flat back for placing against a wall and that great, sweeping half round, one piece curved front section. Uniquely, this curved front section is specially formed glass and not plastic as one might expect. Glass is a much better material for aquarium use, being both clearer and far less scratch prone than acrylic based plastics. Glass is also far more expensive to form into curves - thankfully this isn't reflected in the Aqua Mode 600's cost due to Aqua One's huge volume production and accompanying economy of scale.
